This is the Environmental Technology Center at Sonoma State University. It is a concept building designed and constructed ca. 2001 for the Department of Environmental Studies and Planning to test and demonstrate innovative energy and sustainable design concepts. The Green Building Professional Certificate Program in which I currently am enrolled has held occasional classes in the building. It effectively uses natural daylighting during most days, with supplemental light fixtures when necessary. Sunlight also is its chief source of heating and is controlled by motorized louvers at the light monitor and window awnings. It also is equipped with photo-voltaic roof panels. For more extensive description of its features see

  2. I try to follow building sites. There’s only a couple of decent ones. Found this one on Yahoo search. Thanks for the work.
